Early Life

Binyamin Netanyahu, also known as "Bibi," was born in Tel Aviv, Israel, on October 21, 1949. His father, Benzion Netanyahu, was a historian and professor, while his mother, Tzila Segal, was a writer and editor. Netanyahu's upbringing was influenced by his family's strong Zionist beliefs and his father's role as a leading figure in the Revisionist Zionist movement.

Political Career

Netanyahu's political career began in the 1980s when he served as Israel's Ambassador to the United States. He entered politics in 1988, when he was elected to the Knesset, Israel's parliament, with the Likud party. Netanyahu became a prominent figure in the Likud party and served in various cabinet positions, including Finance Minister and Foreign Minister, before becoming Prime Minister in 1996.
